Growing economic cooperation in the Turkic world could turn the Middle Corridor from a strategic transport idea into a platform for trade and production. Infrastructure alone, however, will not permanently reduce transit time and cost.
Border procedures, shared data standards, insurance, trade finance and return cargo must be considered together. Institutions such as the Turkic Investment Fund can strengthen the financing layer when matched with a credible project pipeline and transparent measurement.
Through Türkiye's ports, production and service centres, the corridor can also enable new three-way trade models with Africa.
